BIC holds coordination meeting with Sakhir area commercial stakeholders, entities ahead of Kingdom’s F1 events
Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), ‘The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East’, continues to ramp up its preparations to host Formula 1 Aramco Pre-Season Testing 2025 and the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2025.
BIC held last Thursday a coordination meeting with commercial stakeholders and entities from the Zallaq area. The gathering took place at the circuit’s Media Centre.
BIC Corporate Services Director Beshara Abdu Beshara was in attendance along with other members of BIC’s top management.
Beshara gave an overview of the circuit’s plans for testing and the grand prix, and discussed how these may impact the traffic flow in the area. Beshara also spoke of the need to establish an efficient channel of communication between all parties in order to ensure the smooth running of both F1 events.
Other important issues tackled during the gathering included the re-establishment of directional checkpoints along the roads leading to BIC, increasing the spectators’ parking capacity, installing electronic directional screens, unifying media content published for the public by key entities in the Kingdom, expanding spectators’ gates, installing three temporary pedestrian bridges for the safe movement of fans from parking to the entry gates and back, and adding new taxi stations.
BIC is keen to coordinate with all stakeholders, both public and private, to ensure the successful hosting of the largest annual sporting events in the Middle East, which attract thousands of fans from around the world each year.
